Onsite Hearing Tests

As an employer, by law you are required to provide audiometric testing for employees in certain circumstances. You must provide this mandatory audiometric testing when you provide employees with noise protection devices. According to OH&S regulations mandatory audiometric testing must be provided within three months of an employee starting any work that requires hearing protectors, at least every two years and when reasonably requested by a health and safety representative of the employee’s designated work group.

Our fully mobile hearing testing meets all requirements of AS/NZS 1269.4:2005 - occupational noise management - Auditory assessment and can operate 24/7, which is perfect for mines and shift work operations. All of our equipment is maintained to the highest standard and we compile either a report or provide test results to enable the identification of any noise problems your workers might be suffering from.

Noise Surveys

We will measure the noise levels of your workplace and workstations to determine the required hearing protection needed for each area and ensure any possible breaches of OH&S regulations are identified, allowing them to be rectified quickly.

Calibration of Audiometric Equipment

If you possess your own audiometric equipment we can maintain and calibrate it to ensure it stays in working order. Our team are experts in audio equipment, so you are unlikely to find a more experienced team of audio equipment technicians.

Spirometry

Air quality and lung function has steadily become more and more a target of OH&S regulation and enforcement. Spirometry is a test of lung function that measures how much and how quickly air can be moved into and out of the lungs. The measurements are made using a spirometer and live data logging software.

Our Spirometry testing allows us to test workers lung function and identify potential health risks early. These measurements are the mainstay of the screening and management of workers at risk of occupational lung disease. Diseases such as occupational asthma, work aggravated asthma, Reactive Airways Dysfunction Syndrome (RADS), fibrosis and asbestosis can be detected early using routine spirometry testing.

Depending on the work being undertaken by your employees, Spirometry testing for your employees may be required by Work Safe laws. If this is the case, then our convenient testing can be completed onsite and 24/7. Each Spirometry test should only take 10 minutes, allowing us to quickly rotate through your entire workforce.

Vision Tests

Vision testing is a new service being offered by Hearing and Safety Services and we believe it makes a perfect complement to our hearing and lung function testing services.
